Wanted man sends court letter condemning US
Deimi Rodriguez is wanted in 4 Texas counties
A Cuban national wanted on charges of aggravated kidnapping, robbery, identity theft and other crimes has sent a letter to a Texas courtroom condemning the United States.
Fugitive Deimi Rodriguez, 23, taunts law enforcement authorities in the rambling two-page letter. There are also several anti-American sentiments.
"They say the United States is like no other, and they say they honor this country. I laugh at them," the handwritten letter states.
The letter has a return address in Havana, Cuba.
Rodriguez has been implicated in an identity theft ring that has so far netted two arrests, as well as a violent robbery where a man was kidnapped in Fort Bend county.
Four Texas counties have active warrants for Rodriguez.
Anyone with information is asked to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
