Volunteers searching for Tiny Tim's owners

HOUSTON -

Volunteers at Friends of BARC are hoping to find the owners of a 35-pound cat they've named Tiny Tim.

The obese feline was found wandering on South Kirkwood Road in Southwest Houston right before Christmas Eve and taken to BARC, Houston's animal shelter.

A volunteer with Friends of BARC picked up Tiny Tim from the shelter and brought him to Southside Place Animal Hospital.

A doctor told the volunteer that Tiny Tim struggles to move and suffers from arthritis, but overall is in good health.

Because the cat is so very well fed, the organization doesn't think he's a stray.

If you have any information on Tiny's owners you're asked to e-mail info@friendsofbarc.org.

If his owners aren't found, they're hoping to find a family that will adopt him and slowly help him lose weight.
