USO presents trophy to KPRC Local 2
The USO presented KPRC Local 2 with an award of thanks for the station's Operation USO phone bank on Memorial Day.
The event on May 30 raised $57,211.
The money goes to items that support our active-duty troops, such as care packages, entertainment, phone cards, Skype video calls and more.
Houston has USO airport centers at Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport. More than 81,000 visit the two local centers annually. They are manned by volunteers.
USO services include free Internet and email access, libraries and reading rooms, housing assistance, family crisis counseling, support groups, game rooms and nursery facilities.
KPRC Local 2 is proud to support the USO and our troops.
