Truck slams into restaurant that underwent reality show renovation

SEABROOK, Texas -

A Seabrook restaurant underwent a reality show renovation just months ago, and now the restaurant has closed for repairs after a truck rammed through the front door.

The crash happened Tuesday at the Pelican Grill on NASA Parkway.

The restaurant owner said the accident has cost him more than $6,000 in damages, plus the cost of wasted food.

The Pelican Grill was recently part of the cable show "Restaurant: Impossible" to help get the business revamped. However, the owner said the hit-and-run forced him to shut the doors, leaving his 10 employees out of work.

The restaurant is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can help the solve the crime.

The owner said he hoped to reopen the restaurant within a month or so.
