Tropical Depression No. 13 forms

Tropical Depression No. 13 has formed in the Atlantic.
On Monday afternoon, the system was about 1, 350 miles west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands. It had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and was moving northwest at 3 mph.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the depression is expected to make a slow northwestern motion through Tuesday then make a turn to the north-northwest on Wednesday.
It could become a tropical storm by Tuesday. If it does strengthen, it will be named Michael.
