Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said a member of the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force saw Jorge Alberto Cabellero, 33, speeding on the Southwest Freeway on Tuesday.
A detective stopped Cabellero near Beasley. A K-9 unit searched the car and found 9.2 pounds of crystal methamphetamines, investigators said.
The street value of the drugs was about $300,000, detectives said.
Cabellero was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail with bond set at $50,000.
