A Missouri City man convicted of torturing a woman with pliers, a hot clothes iron and a homemade blow torch has been sentenced to life in prison.
Wilburt Cash, 30, was sentenced on Tuesday by a District Court Judge, according to the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office.
Cash pleaded guilty last month to aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and witness tampering in the 2011 kidnapping and torture case.
The assistant district attorney said the crime took place March 6, 2011, at a Missouri City home, where Cash tortured a woman for several hours.
After Cash was arrested, he tried to contact the woman and force her to drop the charges, according to court documents.
