HOUSTON -

Houston football fans lined up outside Reliant Stadium Sunday night to have the chance to welcome home the playoff-bound Houston Texans.

The Texans returned to Houston Sunday evening just hours after defeating the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.  The win secured the team a spot in the playoffs.

Dozens of people held up signs and cheered as the team buses arrived at Reliant Stadium.

"I'm so excited," said one fan holding up a Texans sign.  "We watched the game today with a big group of fans and it was so much fun and we're just so excited to be out here to welcome them home and tell them how proud we are."

"We've been watching the game since 12:00 p.m., been up since 11:00 a.m.," said one fan.  "We're ready!"

Even some young Texans fans were allowed to stay up late on a school night to welcome home the Texans.
