HOUSTON -

It wasn't supposed to be this close. Still riding high from last week's big win in Chicago, many Texans fans were already looking ahead to next week's Thanksgiving Day matchup against Detroit.

After all, the only thing standing between the Texans' and their ninth victory of the season was the last place Jacksonville Jaguars.

"This game is done before we even get started," boasted one Texans fan while tailgating before Sunday's game at Reliant Stadium. "We're gonna win this game. We're gonna move on to next week."

But the Jags made sure there would be no looking ahead Sunday, improbably pushing the Texans to overtime.

Despite a team record-breaking day from both Matt Shaub (527 passing yards) and Andre Johnson (273 receiving yards), the Texans still trailed by two touchdowns midway through the 4th quarter.

It wasn't until the final play, a game-winning 48 yard TD pass from Shaub to Johnson, that Texans' fans were finally able to exhale.

"I was really nervous," one relieved Texans' fan said. "I've been sitting over here on pins and needles the whole time. What a win! What a come-from-behind win!"

Sunday's 43-37 overtime win combined with the Colts' blowout loss in New England, extends the Texans' lead in the AFC South to three games with six left to play.
