Teen shot 5 times with pellet gun
Teen fights back with skateboard
Five people shot a 16-year-old boy with pellet guns, police said, but the teen fought back with his skateboard.
Investigators said Anthony Rust was headed home from a friend's house on Rock Springs Road and Northpark Dirve Friday night when the incident occurred.
On his way home, five masked men began to follow him in a truck and then shot him with their pellet guns, officials said.
"They said, 'Give me your board.' I thought they were joking," Rust said.
Investigators said one of the men got out of the truck and tried to take Rust's skateboard, but the teen hit the thief on the head with it.
The driver pointed a pistol at him.
"He was like, 'Don't make me shoot you here,'" Rust said.
Rust ran away and call 911, police said.
Minutes later, police arrested Matthew Hayes, 18, and James Horton, 19. Both were charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
The other three suspects are still on the loose.
