A teenager in Northwest Houston said two men tried to abduct him as he walked home from school Tuesday afternoon.
Tannin DiAmicis, 15, had just finished his more than one-mile walk from Booker T. Washington High School when the men approached him on Martin Street and North Shepherd.
"They were telling me to get into their car, they'd give me a ride home. I said no. So the driver reached for the door and was attempting to get out of the car," said the high school sophomore.
The family's dog started barking and that's when the men drove away.
"I was scared for my life," said Tannin. "Right then, that was one of the scariest moments of my life."
After Tuesday's frightening experience, the teen says he will be more aware of his surroundings and will no longer walk home alone.
The family did call police. Officers responded and filed a report.
The family said it will also contact the school. They want to make sure other parents and students know what happened.
