Teen accused of making school bomb threat

HOUSTON -

A teenager has been accused of making a bomb threat against a north Houston school.

Artie Lee Smith, 18, has been charged with making a false alarm/report.

Houston police said Smith called Houston CAN Academy, 3401 Hardy, on Dec. 4 and claimed there was a bomb at the school.

The school was evacuated and police searched the school. Investigators said they did not find a bomb.

The motive for the threat has not been released.
