HOUSTON -

A suspect has been arrested and charged in a shooting that left two people dead and a third hurt.

Desi Thomas, 32, has been charged with murder in the death of 57-year-old Frankie Cooper in the 1100 block of Neyland on Wednesday.

Houston police said Thomas had been at Cooper's home and Cooper told Thomas not to come back because he was causing trouble.

Thomas came back a short time later, while Cooper and three other people were sleeping, investigators said.

Thomas shot Cooper and three others, police said.

Cooper died at the scene.

A 20-year-old man, Dan Thomas, suffered critical injuries and died at Ben Taub Hospital. Dan Thomas and Desi Thomas are not related, police said.

A 21-year-old man was treated and released.
