A suspect accused of killing a man and wounding his brother in a southeast Houston shooting has been arrested.
Jonathan Anthony Franklin, 22, has been charged with murder.
Houston police said Xavier Rubio, 17, Ruben Rubio, 22, and several other people were standing on a sidewalk outside an apartment complex in the 10900 block of the Gulf Freeway about 11 p.m. on Nov. 18.
Detectives said Franklin walked by the group, but came back a short time later and an argument began.
Franklin pulled out a gun and started shooting, police said.
Xavier Rubio died at the scene, investigators said. Ruben Rubio ran several blocks and was later transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Franklin was charged in connection with the shooting two days later. He was arrested at an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Shaver in Pasadena on Monday.
