HOUSTON -

Detectives have arrested a man suspected of robbing a southwest Houston bank last week.

Aaron Joseph Copeland, 23, has been charged with robbery by threat.

FBI officials said Copeland walked into the Comerica Bank at 2337 West Holcombe at around 1:05 p.m. Thursday.

Copeland initially pretended to conduct legitimate bank business, then handed the teller a note demanding cash, investigators said. He threatened to pull out a weapon, detectives said.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and Copeland fled, detectives said.

Copeland was taken into custody on Monday.
