Suspect accused of attacking man with Samurai sword

HOUSTON -

A man has been accused of attacking another man with a Samurai sword.

Nicholas Kosmas, 26, was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault.

Kosmas' neighbors described him as a man obsessed with swords and knives who often talked about violence.

"They several times had little kids come out and he'd be out here with the swords swinging them around and talking about how he was going to kill someone," neighbor Wayne Gordon said.

Kosmas lived with another man in a ground-floor apartment in the 400 block of Westmoreland. Police said that is where Kosmas attacked another man with a Samurai sword during an argument in November.

"The guy was a nightmare," Gordon said. "He was out here with knives all the time, throwing them in that tree, sticking them in the ground."

Kosmas and the other man moved out of the apartment building a few weeks ago. Kosmas has not been arrested.
