Sugar Land man robbed at gunpoint
Sugar Land police are looking for two men who robbed another man at gunpoint outside his town home.
The victim had just gotten out of his car in the 2700 block of Grants Lake Boulevard near Highway 6 when he was grabbed from behind and held at gunpoint Sunday at 4 a.m.
The gunmen demanded cash and then ran away.
The victim works at a gas station and brought $500 home with him to make change. Police said it's possible he was followed.
Now, others who live in that area are taking extra precautions to stay safe.
"I got a family so I'm worried about them," said Paul Romano, "I'm definitely scared for them."
Romano and his family moved to Sugar Land six months ago and said they chose the area because it is safe. He and his neighbors said they will be extra careful when coming and going, especially late at night or early in the morning.
"I guess I'll be more careful when I get out of my car, making sure there's nobody around me or that somebody isn't coming up from behind me," said Romano.
The suspects were only described as two Hispanic males wearing dark jeans, jackets and baseball caps.
