Student arrested in connection with bomb threat
Incident happened at Brazoswood High School on Nov. 7
A student has been accused of threatening to blow up a high school.
Brazosport Independent School District officials said a threat was made against Brazoswood High School, 302 Brazoswood Dr. in Clute, on Nov. 7.
Officials said the threat was made by phone to the Clute Police Department.
The school was evacuated and searched, but nothing was found.
Detectives said their investigation led them a group of students who talked about making a plan to get out of school early. They narrowed their case to a 16-year-old student, who was arrested on Jan. 8. The student was charged with making a false alarm or report, a state jail felony.
