HOUSTON -

A high school student has been accused of making several bomb threats against the campus he attended.

Rodney Joseph Sauls, 18, has been charged of making a terroristic threat.

Houston Independent School District officials said Westbury High School has been evacuated six times recently because of bomb threats.

School district police said several tips made to Crime Stoppers and other evidence led them to Sauls.

Detectives said Sauls called the school and said, "I have a bomb. I am going to blow the school up."

Sauls was arrested at the Harris County criminal courthouse on Monday. He was there for a hearing on an unrelated case, officials said.

"We take threats against our school communities seriously, and we are committed to investigating these threats vigorously," HISD Police Chief Jimmy Dotson said. "Our students, teachers and staff have a right to feel safe in our schools. We are grateful to those students who were brave enough to come forward and help bring this case to a resolution."

Sauls is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.
