Strong storm causes morning delays, but air travel back to normal at IAH

Flights delayed during severe storms

HOUSTON -

A strong storm that moved into the Houston area Wednesday caused some delays for air travelers.

Officials said Wednesday afternoon, all airport operations are back to normal at Bush Intercontinental Airport, but not quite back on time.

Earlier Wednesday, flights were delayed between 25 minutes and 2 1/2 hours at Bush Intercontinental Airport. Five flights were canceled, airport officials said.

Flights were delayed between 10 minutes and 2 hours at Hobby Airport. Two flights were canceled at Hobby.

Travelers were advised to call their airline before heading out to the airport.
