Spring Branch ISD officials sent out a letter to parents on Wednesday involving two incidents of men approaching students and offering them rides.

According to the letter, a Rummel Creek Elementary student was walking home from school around 4:30 pm Tuesday when she was approached by a man at the corner of Brittmoore and Kimberley.

The man, who was seen driving an older blue-green pickup truck, asked the student if she wanted a ride. The student managed to run back to the school without being hurt.

A second incident occurred as well on Tuesday involving a female student from Memorial Middle School.

Officials said the girl was getting off the bus at Broken Bough and Faust, in the Town and Country area, when she was approached by two Hispanic males in a white pickup truck.

The men asked the student if she wanted a ride home. Officials said she fled on foot to her nearby home.

Two separate police reports were filed. At this time, police said it is not clear if the cases are connected.
