ALBANY, Texas -

Authorities have resumed the search for a single-engine airplane that disappeared from radar and lost radio contact over West Texas.

A dispatcher with the Shackelford County Sheriff's office says the search resumed around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration says a Piper Comanche bound from Abilene to Norman, Okla., lost contact around 7:30 p.m. Monday near Albany, about 150 miles west of Dallas.

FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said Tuesday that the agency has no information on how many people were on board.

An FAA database indicates the plane is registered to Baga Air Inc. of Wilmington, Del. Public phone records had no listing for the company.
