Sign advertises crack for sale, says police don't care
Homemade sign gives directions to drugs
Sign advertises crack for sale
A sign in North Houston has many people talking. It reads, "Crack 4 sale 24 hours a day" and gives those driving by directions.
The sign approaching I-45 and Calvalcade has made many drivers do a double take.
The homemade sign also says, "cops don't care."
Neighbors in the area are stunned.
"Wow, that's bad. I mean, in a neighborhood with kids all around, schools around here, that's very bad," Tina Oresmendi said.
"Definitely not a good thing, especially by a school. Definitely shouldn't be there. The cops should ... I think they should do something about it," Jay Bussey said.
Many neighbors Local 2 spoke with said they are unaware if the sign is true.
"I live very close to here and I don't know that any of this is true. I don't know of any crack being sold in my neighborhood. I don't see a lot of people hanging around like that, but to see something like this put up, obviously somebody knows of something going on and they'd like somebody to know about it," Jim McCormack said.
Police said they are investigating to find out who put up the sign. They also plan to take it down.
