CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas -

A shelter in place at a chemical plant because of a chemical leak at a nearby railyard has been lifted.

The leak was at a railyard on F.M. 1405, which is near the Bayer plant in the 8500 block of West Bay Road.

Chambers County officials have not said what chemical was leaking.

Plant employees were told to shelter in place because the wind is blowing the chemical in the plant's direction.

The cause of the leak is under investigation.
