A Houston man who was a registered sex offender has been arrested in an online sting operation.
The Texas Attorney General's Cyber Crimes Unit said an undercover officer conducted online chats with Jason Randolph Bush, 30, and Bush thought he was talking to an adult female and her young daughter.
Investigators said Bush offered to meet and sexually assault the underage girl.
The Cyber Crimes Unit and the Houston-Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Bush at his home and conducted a search. Officials said Bush's computer contained images of children being sexually assaulted.
Bush faces three third-degree felony counts of child pornography possession. Each is punishable by two to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. He remains in custody at the Harris County Jail.
Bush was a registered sex offender for a 2003 federal conviction of possessing child pornography.
