Cy-Fair ISD officials say they have suspended a sixth grader who allegedly made a verbal hit list threatening to shoot several fellow students.

The threat allegedly came from a student at Aragon Middle School in northwest Harris County. District officials have confirmed they're looking into the allegations.

A mother, who didn't want to be identified, told Local 2 her child was called into the assistant principal's office and said she was part of the threat. It wasn't a written hit list, but the male student who allegedly made the threat, supposedly was fairly specific.

"He was bragging about the fact that he was going to bring a gun to school and was going to kill several children," said the mother.

District officials said they have begun an investigation and have suspended the boy for now. The parents of the kids who were allegedly threatened were called by school officials and told about the suspension.

According to the Cy-Fair student code of conduct, a threat list would classify as a Level 3 offense, and could be punishable by home suspension, in-school suspension, or other means.
