School lockdown after robbery attempt lifted

HOUSTON -

A southeast Houston high school was locked down for about an hour Thursday while police searched for men who tried to rob a store.

Houston police said the Cash America Pawn shop in the 1600 block of Dumble was held up about 9:45 a.m.

The men got scared and left without taking anything, police said.

The men were last seen running toward Austin High School, 1700 Dumble, police said. The school was locked down, but that order has since been lifted

Descriptions of the men have not been released.
