Former Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was in the Houston area Friday to campaign for the Tea Party's pick for the U.S. Senate.
Palin and candidate Ted Cruz held a rally in The Woodlands.
"She's wonderful we love her," supported John Meehan said.
Meehan is a voter and planned to attend Friday's rally with Palin and a handful of other conservatives all backing Cruz, the former Texas Solicitor Lieutenant General, in the GOP primary runoff.
"The campaign is doing well, momentum is off the charts," said Ted Cruz.
Cruz faces Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in a race that has made headlines for both the nasty tone of television political ads and the millions of dollars the candidates are spending to win the race.
Dewhurst, who is backed by Gov.Rick Perry, voiced concern earlier this week about voter turnout in a late summer runoff.
"A lot of people thinking about their families are away, but this is an important election." he said.
The runoff is July 31.
