A town will pay its last respects to the nation's longest-serving mayor on Monday.

Hilmar G. Moore, the mayor of Richmond, died from natural causes on Tuesday. He was 92 years old.

Moore served the city for 63 years. He was elected mayor in 1949, after he served in World War II.

A public memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. Fourth Street, at 11 a.m.
