HOUSTON -

It has been keeping the pulse of Houston for 31 years now, and on Tuesday, Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research released its latest study on the nation's fourth-largest city.

The survey of Houston-area residents collected views on the economy, mass transit and diversity.

It was an eye-opening opening presentation at The Westin Galleria by Rice University professor Stephen Klineberg, Ph.D.

The study showed that diversity is growing in what is already one of the most diverse cities.

Tolerance is also growing between members of different ethnic groups.
