A $5,000 reward is being offered to find out who killed a man in northwest Harris County.

Around 1 a.m. on Dec. 30, deputy constables responded to a shooting on Sloangate at Harpergate in the Birnamwood subdivision. When officers arrived they found a man dead.

The victim, Omar Malik, had been shot to death in the street in front of his home.

Neighbors said they saw Malid arrive home and park his car.  A few minutes later, they heard gunshots, and saw another vehicle speed away.

Anyone who has any information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).  You could earn up to a $5,000 reward.
