Dec. 15 Restaurant Report Card

HOUSTON -

From lunch to dinner to dessert, we've got you covered in this week's Restaurant Report Card.

You may be able to "eat fresh" at Subway, but you might have company at the one at 4668 Beechnut. Health inspectors said they saw "two baby roaches on a container of cheese in the display cooler."

At Jack in the Box at 10004 Telephone Road, there were ants crawling on the counter by the soda machine and two flies in the dining area.

There were gnats and fruit flies buzzing around Joe's Crab Shack in the 17111 Tomball Parkway.
On the eastside at 6707 Harrisburg, it wasn't the uninvited guests that bothered health inspectors at Taqueria Los Charros. They wrote that a food employee was working with an infected wound on his arm. They told him to cover it immediately.

Rats are enjoying the fare at Aga's Restaurant at 11842 Wilcrest, where inspectors noticed rodent droppings along the walls on top of food containers.

They noted the presence of rodents at Taqueria de Jalisco at 6001 Bissonnet.

At Pies by Simon Hugh at 6607 Gessner, inspectors told employees to continue rodent control and put out more traps.
