The average cost of a gallon of diesel fuel in Houston is $3.73. But some stations around town sold regular gas for 44 cents less.

The following three stations sold gas for less on Friday, according to www.GasBuddy.com.

  • Kroger, Hwy 288 & Shadow Creek Pkwy, Pearland: $3.44 for diesel
  • Phillips 66, S. Braeswood & Kirby, Reliant Stadium: #3.29 for diesel
  • Chevron, Crabb River Rd & Sansbury Blvd, Richmond: $2.98 for regular
