The average cost of a gallon of gas in Houston Thursday was $3.56. But some stations around town sold regular gas for 17 cents less.

The following three stations sold gas for less on March 1, according to www.GasBuddy.com.

  • Northwest Houston: Shell, Bammel North Houston and the North Belt: $3.39
  • West Houston: Costco, Katy Freeway and Bunker Hill: $3.44
  • East Houston: Sam's Club, East Freeway and Haden Road: $3.45
