President Obama coming to Houston for fundraisers

HOUSTON -

President Barack Obama is coming to Houston on Friday.

Obama is headed to the Bayou City for two campaign fundraising events.

The first is a reception at Union Station at Minute Maid Park Friday afternoon.  Ticket prices started at $500 and increased to $10,000 for a photo reception.

Friday evening, Obama will attend a fundraising dinner at the River Oaks home of Dina Alsowayel and Tony Chase. The dinner costs $38,500 per person with the opportunity to add an additional guest for $15,000.

Chase is the chairman and chief executive officer of ChaseSource and the chairman of the board of directors for the Greater Houston Partnership.  Chase is an honors graduate of Harvard, received a law degree from Harvard Law School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  He worked in 2008 to raise campaign funds for Obama, who is a fellow Harvard graduate.
