(CNN) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday called Republican criticism of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice "outrageous," saying she was only giving her reading of available intelligence when she incorrectly said that a terrorist attack that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya grew out of a protest over an anti-Islam video produced in America. Obama also said he had yet to decide whether to nominate Rice to be secretary of state to succeed Hillary Clinton, who intends to step down.
