HOUSTON -

Police said an armed man held officers at bay for several hours, and it all started over an argument with his wife.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, police said 25-year-old Tobias Hernandez got into an argument with his wife outside his home in the 800 block of Morris Street in northeast Houston.

At some point during the argument investigators said Hernandez pulled a gun and fired it. No one was injured during the incident.

Hernandez then went inside, officials said.

When police arrived, they found the wife at a family member's home nearby.

Hernandez refused to come outside, and investigators said he held them at bay for several hours.

Police said around 7:30 Saturday morning Hernandez decided to give up. He was taken into custody without incident.

So far, no word what may have sparked the argument.

Hernandez is being charged with aggravated assault on a family member and is being held at the Harris County Jail.

Hernandez is expected to be in court on Monday
