Police chase ends in shooting

What started as an attempted traffic stop, turned into a high speed chase, crash and shooting.
Houston Police tried to stop a driver near Green River and Mesa but he fled.
After a nearly 5-mile case, the driver drove into the backyard of a home on Abalone Way in northeast Harris County.
Police say after the suspect crashed his car, he jumped out and tried to run away but police tackled him.
After a fight, investigators say the officer was forced to shoot the suspect one time.
The chase started in the city but ended in the county therefore the Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
Names of those involved haven't been released.
