A man has confessed to attacking a woman at a Tomball apartment complex, police said.

Tomball police said Matthew Pickering admitted to grabbing a woman at the Bridgewater Apartment Complex, 1100 Graham Drive, on Feb. 4.

Investigators said the woman struggled with Pickering, but she escaped his grasp, ran and called 911.

Pickering was captured after a neighbor saw a sketch of the suspect, police said.

Detectives said Pickering told them he went out binge drinking, saw the woman coming out of her apartment and attacked her.

Pickering has been charged with assault.
