A would-be robber left a bank empty-handed, and now he's on the run from the law, police say.
It happened around 2 p.m. Friday at the Chase Bank in the 10000 block of FM 1960 near Highway 59.
Investigators said the crook walked into the bank and asked the teller about opening a new account before handing over a note demanding cash.
Police said he left without getting any cash.
The suspect is described as a black male, around 200 to 300 pounds, and 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall. Police said he was wearing a blue baseball cap, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white and black tennis shoes.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to charges and an arrest in this case.
