Pasadena police release sketch of suspect
Police in Pasadena are looking for a man who robbed two people on the same night just minutes apart.
The first robbery happened at 11 p.m. in the 3000 block of the Beltway in the parking lot of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Investigators said the robber approached a 17-year-old who was sitting in his car waiting to pick a friend up from work. The robber showed him a gun and demanded his wallet, police said the wallet only contained $20 and when the robber realized it he became upset. He took the money then threw the wallet back at the teen.
About five minutes later, and just a few miles away, police responded to another robbery. This one happened in an apartment complex parking lot in the 2400 block of Burke. The victim was trying to back out of a parking space when the robber blocked her in.
"Next thing I know he slams on his brakes, throws the car in park and gets out," said the 25-year-old victim who doesn't want her identity revealed. "He had the gun and was holding it at his side."
The suspect got the woman's purse, her driver's license, a credit card and $3.
"All he got was $3," she said. "And my sense of security. It's rough, you know? You're scared constantly."
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male with a strong accent. Both victims told police he was driving a faded red or maroon car, possibly a Ford Taurus. He was bald with severe acne scars on both of his cheeks. Pasadena police are investigating, if you have any information on either of these two crimes call police.
