Fire captain accused of having child porn, relationship with teen

HOUSTON -

A captain with the Houston Fire Department was caught having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl, police said.

Investigators said he also had child pornography on his computer.

Officers arrested Saul "Abe" Fiszer after investigators said they found hundreds of illegal pictures and videos of child pornography.  Police said he also traded the porn.

Investigators said Fiszer's wife tipped them off.

"The defendant's wife actually became suspicious that he was engaging in extramarital activity, so she looked on his cell and computer," said Donna Hawkins with the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

According to court documents, Fiszer's wife called them after she discovered he was calling and sending sexually-explicit text messages to a girl in Casper, Wyo.  Fiszer's wife called the girl who in turn admitted to sparking up a relationship with Fiszer after meeting him online.

Soon after the investigation began in Harris County, officers in Wyoming seized the teen's computer and cellphone.  Detectives in Houston seized Fiszer's laptop and hard drives.

"When they executed the warrant, they found over 450 images of child porn. Also, they found videos of child pornography," Hawkins said.

The evidence, according to court documents, revealed Fiszer not only tried to lure the teen, but he had sexually-explicit videos and photos of boys and girls as young as 4 years old.

Fiszer has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.  If convicted, he faces up to 10 years for each count.
