HOUSTON -

A woman spotted throwing up while driving a car is facing charges.

Kira Samantha Yarbrough, 30, has been charged with driving while intoxicated – second offense.

Friendswood police said a driver called them to report that Yarbrough was throwing up out of the window of her car on F.M. 2351 near Hope Village Road about 7 p.m. on June 25.

An officer found Yarbrough in the 200 block of West Edgebrook Drive. Investigators said Yarbrough was swerving all over the road.

Yarbrough was not wearing a seat belt and kept opening her driver's side door, police said.

Officers approached the vehicle and saw vomit running down the side of the car. They also smelled alcohol, police said.

Detectives said Yarbrough failed a field sobriety test and refused to take blood or breath tests.

Yarbrough has a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated. She also has prior arrests that include drug and alcohol offenses, investigators said.
