SUGAR LAND, Texas -

Sugar Land police released surveillance images Thursday of two women and a vehicle wanted in connection with an attack and robbery at a Target store.

A woman and her daughter-in-law were walking to their car after shopping in the store on the Southwest Freeway at Highway 6 when they said they were approached by two women about 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The victims said the women sprayed both of them in the face with pepper spray and punched one of them in the face. The attackers got away with one purse and ran to a getaway car.

Surveillance cameras inside the store and at along Town Center Boulevard captured images police hope will help them find the attackers.

"We think they were absolutely looking for somebody to attack in the Target parking lot," city spokesman Doug Adolph said. "We've got great footable of these women. Somebody is going to recognize them."

The women were described as black and in their late 20s to early 30s with shoulder-length black hair.

Police said the women got away in a black, four-door car that was being driven by a man. The car has Texas license plate No. DK2B894. There is a Houston Texans sticker on the rear window.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sugar Land Police at 281-275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
