Police say they are investigating an incident involving a person who was hit and killed by a train on Runnels and McKee in east Houston Saturday night.

The Union Pacific conductor told Houston police he didn't see the person on the tracks.

As a result, the conductor said he couldn't stop the train in time.

Police said there is no word on why the person was on the railroad tracks.
