Pedestrian killed in crash

HOUSTON -

A pedestrian was killed Saturday evening after being hit by a vehicle in northwest Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies said it happened on Highway 6 and Royal Mile Lane about 7 p.m.

Officials said the 36-year-old victim was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a 2000 Honda Accord, driven by a 22-year-old male.

Investigators said the Accord was then struck by two other vehicles that were traveling behind it.

Officials said the driver of the Accord and the drivers of the other vehicles remained on the scene after the crash.

Deputies haven't released the name of the victim.

Officials said the accident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
