Two people were apprehended after a car hit a pedestrian and left the scene, investigators said.

Houston police said a car hit a woman near the Popeye's on Broadway near Bellfort about 1 a.m. Monday.

Two people were inside the car that hit the woman, officials said. They were both apprehended after the driver crashed the car, police said.

The woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police have not said what charges the driver may face. Investigators have not said if the passenger will also face charges.
