HOUSTON -

A mother has been accused of leading deputies on a chase with her children in car, along for the ride.

Tenika Johnson has been charged with felony evading and endangering children.

According to deputies, Johnson's husband called 911 because he was concerned about his wife and her behavior.

When deputies arrived, they spotted Johnson leaving Lexington Woods Subdivision. According to deputies, Johnson got out of the car, then back inside and took off.

Johnson stopped several miles later, according to deputies, who said they noticed children inside the car.

Johnson was transported to the Humble substation before she was taken to the Harris County jail.
