A man has been accused of hitting a 62-year-old man with a tire iron in a Baytown store parking lot.
Baytown police said Tony Tynes, 21, and three other people went to Walmart on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to return a car battery.
Investigators said the battery had a leak and Tynes placed it in the trunk of the 62-year-old man's car. The car owner was upset that the leaky battery was in his trunk and yelled at Tynes, police said.
Tynes threatened to kill the man before hitting him twice in the head with a tire iron.
Tynes was taken into custody and charged with felony deadly conduct.
