A major accident shut down a portion of the North Loop early Saturday morning.

Houston Police said officers were investigating a wreck in the east bound lanes of the loop, when a car driving east slammed into the rear of a stopped pickup truck.

The pickup then crashed into the back-end of a HPD patrol car.

No one was hurt.

The driver who caused the accident was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants.
